Cheap countries, damn

My friend Saab, living in Cairo, just emailed me from Turkey. He just bought 21 DVDs for 45 million Turkish liras. There's an odd character that changes his "i"'s. Here's what he had to say:

tıme ıs runnıng out at the ınternet cafe. quıck synopsıs of what ıve
done so far:

a lıttle shoppıng for DVDs (21 for 45 mıllıon!), explorıng the hılls of
Kapadokıa ın central Turkey, had a fewe turkısh baths (wıth the steamy
sauna, the loofah and massage), and vısıtıng a few fantastıc mosques ın
Istanbul. tomorrow, we hop on a ferry to vısıt Istanbul on the Asıan
sıde. A lıttle Asıan tomorrow! Tell you more when I get back ın
Caıro.

later dood!

Saab

For your information, $1 CAD is equivalent to just over 1 000 000 Turkish liras. So he bought 21 DVDs for $45 CAD, or $33 USD. He'll have to hook me up.

have him hook me up too! damn! You can be the Canadian King of the Dorks, heh. I find it hysterical that now that I'm older, being a dork is actually a good thing... Be proud - wear the badge of honor. They'll realize the coolness of dorkiness sooner or later. ; )
